Oregon Lease Agreement

An Oregon lease refers to a lease document created by the landlord and the tenant in the state of Oregon, US, which has various terms and conditions following, federal and state laws and some specific individual lease terms. These rules and regulations helps the tenant and landlord maintain a cordial relation and also ensure that the property will be maintained well.

The landlord must ensure that the house is habitable and must follow all the health and safety codes. The tenant can terminate the lease if the house is not safe and sanitary, but he too has a responsibility of keeping it in good condition. There is no fixed limit on the security deposit to be paid by the tenant but the amount must be paid back to the tenant in full when he moves out. The landlord must give the tenant a 30 days’ notice before evicting him. Although he is not entitled to give any reason for eviction, the most common grounds are non-payment of rent.
