A relocation agreement is mainly referred to an agreement created between an employee and his employer where the latter offers the former certain provisions and benefits to help him relocate to another city. When a person has to move to a new office in a different city, he has to undergo a lot of expenses like moving and packing costs, ticket fares, searching for a new house, lease costs, fine to be paid for breaking the present lease, admission of children to new schools and so on.
Some new employees may also have to move to a new city for their jobs. All these employees are given by the company the total amount or a part of the amount to be spent by them as a result of relocation. The agreement is created as a result of negotiation between the two parties where the amount can be given separately or as a part of the total compensation package.
