A long term incentive program agreement is a category of an agreement which is formed between a company or employer and the employee so as to discuss the details of a long term incentive program which the company provides to the employee. These agreements are formed or made so as to encourage employees to perform better by promising them incentives for a long period of time. Any such agreement is used very commonly in many work settings.

A long term incentive program agreement is used to lay down the terms based upon which the parties are expected to act during the agreement term or effective period. The long term incentives promised by the employer are discussed in detail in such agreements and the conditions which the employees have to follow to attain the incentives are also written down. These agreements are legally binding hence the parties cannot violate the terms and conditions.
